The goth-chic Los Angeles signature soft serve shop’s first foray out of the States has landed in Singapore. Taking heed from its parent store, the Little Damage outpost here at Wheelock Place is decked out in monochromatic gingham that not only serves as a precursor to its menu, but doubles as the perfect backdrop for your Insta pic.
The wafting aroma of fresh waffles will hit you even before you reach the modest store—all waffle cones are hand-rolled on-site and made with activated charcoal, which gives the cones its trademark black hue.
As for the soft serves themselves, four different flavours (including a vegan option) are available at any one time. And to keep things fresh, flavours will rotate every two months.
Some signatures include the bright teal Unicorn Tears ($7) that’s actually cookies and cream-flavoured; classic White Chocolate ($7); Vegan Chocolate Peanut Butter and Banana ($7.50) that substitutes regular milk with almond milk; and our personal favourite, the rich Coffee Caramel ($7) that not only makes for a snazzy black-on-black aesthetic but also presents a tinge of a bitter aftertaste to offset the sweetness.
Every cone purchased is entitled to a coat of toppings from the extensive range that includes chocolate pearls, crushed Oreos, Fruity Pebbles cereal, rainbow sprinkles and more, subsequently priced at $1 per topping.
