Mezze Bistro Bar | Review

The Society Group’s latest offering, this all-day dining newbie with a relaxed vibe was unveiled about five weeks ago. Targeted at business folk working in the area (it’s closed on weekends), the menu is care of Aussie head chef Peter Rollinson who helms The Prime Society. Their breakfasts are easy eats like muesli with fruit and vanilla yogurt ($8.50) and sourdough toast with eggs done any style, grilled tomato and bacon ($9.50), but their mezze options are even better. Chili-dusted crispy pig ears ($6.50) and corned beef croquettes with salsa verde ($8.50) are ideal when paired with, say, some prosecco ($16/glass, $75/bottle) or Spanish wines (from $11.50/glass, from $50/bottle). If you’re after something more substantial, spaghetti Wagyu bolognese ($12) and braised lamb risotto ($14) should do the trick.
