This new entrant to the Duxton Road enclave specializes in yakiniku and imports its high quality beef from Kagoshima and Kumamoto. The dinner-only restaurant has a compact menu that comprises two set courses—each has a soup, appetizer, sashimi, salad, tongue, meat platter, rice/noodle dish, and dessert, while the larger option has an additional sukiyaki course. Of course, there are a la carte add-ons too. The standout feature at this modern 28-seater is their use of crystal grilling plates instead of the usual metal grills. These plates, specially imported from Japan, retain heat very well so only a low heat is needed to grill the meats. This helps retain the meats juices and produces no smoke, so diners need not fret over the smell of meats clinging onto their clothes.
