That nondescript Thai restaurant at Golden Mile Complex popular among both locals and Thais alike for pre-party feasting has gotten a revamp in collaboration with Thailand’s most well-known alcohol export, Chang, to now offer the establishment’s signature brand of Northeastern Thai (Isaan) cuisine alongside the iconic beer brand.
Nong Khai’s interiors have undergone the most change, now featuring a huge graffiti wall, a more vibrant look, splashes of green, and a bar counter stocked full with Chang beer (of course).
Thankfully, the dishes offered remain largely the same, and retains much of its street food charms. The must-order papaya with flowed crab salad ($6) is still there, so is the green curry chicken ($15) and seafood tom yum soup ($15). Have them with the ice-cold bottles of Chang going at $9 each.
