Portico Prime

Taking over what was formerly the space of The Prime Society, is Portico Prime—an off-shoot of European, produce-driven restaurant Portico. The intimate space is minimalist yet cozy with floor-to-ceiling window panes, whitewashed walls, exposed redbrick columns, a sleek marble top bar and simple, no frills furniture. The menu is small and focused with the big highlights being the Wagyu A4 ribcap ($58) and the pan-seared Pulau Ubin sea bass ($38) that uses fresh barramundi farmed off the shores of Pulau Ubin. Other must-try mains here include the braised Wagyu beef cheek in mulled wine ($48) and chilled truffle-scented angel hair pasta. For drinks, they’re doing the usual lineup of wine beers and cocktails ($19-$25).
