With the runaway success of the gorgeous PS Cafe at Harding Road, we decided to go back to the original Projectshop Cafe to see how it is faring, given its more prominent location in the middle of the third floor of Paragon. Diners have the option of sitting in the shop itself or in the light-filled atrium where one gets a better view of shoppers. With a menu of interesting pastas and sandwiches and a blackboard with a few specials, some with an Asian twist, we felt spoilt for choice. As we expected, the food was superb. We couldn’t get enough, which wasn’t a problem since the servings were huge. The laksa pesto, despite its dubious name, was an interesting and delicious blend of delicate tastes while the seafood salad sandwich turned out to be a magnificently presented pile of seafood, mayonnaise and salad all topped with crispy crunchy bits. Of course one can’t leave Projectshop without a dessert, so we opted for the staple stickydate pudding which was scrumptious. Polish this off with truly exceptional and professional service, and there’s little we could fault this café with.
