PUTIEN offers Heng Hwa (a town located in China’s Fujian province) cuisine, instead of generic Chinese food. Two dishes you won’t find easily on standard Chinese food menus are the Pu Tien sweet and sour pork with lychees and fried “Hing Hwa” bee hoon that is garnished interestingly with 10 different ingredients including fresh clams, seaweed and peanuts.
