Screening Room Singapore

This bistro is part of the hip five-floor rooftop bar/studio/lounge/mini-cinema/restaurant venue, The Screening Room. We love the look of the bright modern bistro and its extensive menu of Mediterranean and Western items. We opted to share a tapas/mezze platter and were delighted by the mix of a yoghurt dip with breadsticks, tapenade, scallop and lamb skewers, and Spanish omelet. Our mains of mussels cooked in white wine with cheese and onions and beef kebab with yoghurt—served on flat bread like a regular pizza—were absolutely delicious. And there were many more items on the menu that took our fancy, like cocoa braised lamb with roasted chestnuts, Moroccan couscous, and steak frites, that we wished we had room for. Our only gripe was the clueless junior servers who hung around nervously waiting to be told what to do. Fortunately a restaurant manager was on hand to step in when needed. But because the food was good, we’ll definitely be back—to order the food we didn’t try last time round!
