Selera Nasi Lemak

It’s easy to spot Selera—just look for the longest queue. The food here proves that simplicity can come out on top. What you get is a neat mound of coconut-infused rice, cucumber, a fried egg, fried ikan bilis and, depending on your order, fried chicken wing, fried fish or otah otah. Many swear by Selera’s nasi, which uses basmati rice instead of the rice typically found at other stalls. And then there’s the generous helping of sweet sambal. Prices are between $2 and $6 (five gets you the works) and if you’re throwing a party, order 30 portions or more for free delivery.
