Shin Yuu

Located in a tree-lined strip of landed houses, just off Bukit Timah, Shin Yuu has been serving approachable, comforting Japanese and Japanese-fusion food since 2009. The long main dining room comprises an open kitchen and counter seating on the right and tables for two and four on the left. There are Japanese banners over the sushi counter, and rows of sake bottles uniformly mounted along the ceiling, giving off a vibe of considered casualness. The crowd is mostly made up of the expats and civil servants who live in the surrounding estates, making the atmosphere here communal and familiar—a neighborhood restaurant through and through, where regulars come for mid-week dinner and drinks and long lunches on the weekend.

SPECIAL PROMOTION
There is an all-you-can-order prix fixe at lunch ($39.90) and dinner ($52.90). At lunch, four adults dine for the price of three.
