Japanese food fans already know that the second level of Millenia Walk is home to a clutch of Japanese restaraurants collectively known as Nihon Food Street. A recent addition to the family is the intriguing (if not entirely photogenic) Tengawa, specializing in Japanese white curry made with Hokkaido milk. The restaurant doesn’t do fancy decor, but instead opts for simple, cozy Japanese style high tables and a white and blue palette.
The menu focuses on three decent choices—the Japanese style hamburger made with Iberico pork patty ($15.80), the crunchy chicken katsu white curry ($15.80) and ebi fry ($16.80). The set meals also include truffle oil chawanmushi, vegetable pickles, miso soup and rice. The soup and rice is also refillable.
For drinks, it’s a similarly focused menu with choices like free-flow green tea ($1) and canned drinks like tomato juice, ume soda and melon cream soda ($3 for all).
