Highly Instagrammable establishment Wheeler’s Yard has opened up a sister outlet located at Seletar Aerospace Park. Joining the other restaurants at the redeveloped area, Wheeler’s Estate is an exciting addition to the colonial bungalows neighborhood. The restaurant is situated among lots of greenery and decorated in lots of white and black, wooden elements, paired with homely yellow light. Fun fact: the two eateries are connected by 33km park route, so you can actually cycle to and fro.
It’s really the stuff weekend brunch dreams are made of: a two-acre space with lawns, refurbished colonial-era verandahs, picnic tables, avocado toasts and pull-apart breads and the option to grab a bike and explore the area. The huge complex comes with a restaurant, cafe and bar; definitely an upsized version of its first branch on Lorong Ampas. Aesthetics aside, you’ll find a variety of wild, interesting dishes like Idle Tongue, an exotic ox tongue with sides like marrow croquette and sourdough toast ($24); Cape Byron “Tomahawk” steak served with two sides (and can feed four people) ($178); and a suckling pig feast ($238). They’ve yet to finalize their drinks menu but you can be sure to juice yourself up with their in-house coffee, some soft drinks, fruit juices and classic cocktails like their Singapore Sling and Lychee Martini. There’s also going to be a selection of wines in the mix.
