We’re guessing the line is split fairly evenly between those who look back at Artbox Singapore fondly, and those in disgust. The popular lifestyle market hailing from Bangkok came to Singapore in its first edition last April, bringing with it trend food, photo ops—and massive crowds. If you successfully queued for any of the food, drink and crafts on offer, props to you.
This year, against all odds (and haters), Artbox is making its anticipated return. Local flea market and events people Invade (also behind last Dec’s Flashbang) are back at the helm, and over two weekends (May 25-27 and Jun 1-3) will once again take over the entire Bayfront Event Space in Marina Bay. In emphasizing its intention as Singapore’s largest creative market, 400 regional and local creative makers and partners have been invited to set up shop and hawk their wares; so get those wallets at the ready.
In addition, look forward to art installations, music performances, new interactive activities, and of course food, glorious food. If you actually want to be part of the madness, sign up for a booth here, which range in price between retail booths and F&B booths (further differentiated into pre-packed goods or food that’s whipped up on the spot).
