What to get at the ninth annual DFS Masters of Wines and Spirits

The desire to travel may have waned the last couple of months, but here to give you more reason to do so—other than the really affordable airfares and hotel rates right now—is the ninth annual edition of DFS Masters of Wines and Spirits.

This year, it’s taking place at DFS’ main turf, within Changi Airport itself at the Terminal 3 Departure Transit. For the whole month of March, the upper level of the main store will play host to a supremely curated selection of wines and spirits. There, get to preview and purchase coveted, exclusive and limited collections you’ll unlikely be able to get your hands on anywhere else.

For this 2020 edition of DFS Masters of Wines and Spirits (which might be the last, since DFS stores in Changi Airport are set to close in June), expect a showcase of 59 of the world’s rarest and finest wines, spirits and Champagnes, sourced from over 50 world-renowned brands and houses.

Some highlights to look out for include The Jerobo-Gem. A Tasting table by Charles Heidsieck, a limited edition item (comes with the Champagne) with only 12 released worldwide. There’s also the Johnnie Walker Master’s Ruby Reserve, Aged 40 Years, a bottling made in celebration of Master Blender Jim Beveridge’s ruby jubilee, being retailed for the first time.

Oenophiles should keep an eye out for the Chateau Lafite Rothschild Double Magnum Collection 89, 99, 09, a DFS exclusive collection, as well as the rare cellar release of the Ornellaia Archivio Storico Collection 01, 04, 06, among many other fine vintages. Check out their full curation here.

The ninth DFS Masters of Wines and Spirits takes place from Mar 1 at DFS Changi Airport Terminal 3 Departure Transit, Main Store, Upper Level.
