If you are always on the lookout for the trendiest K-beauty brands and innovative skincare products, look no further. Head to health and beauty retailer Guardian which has just unveiled 12 new and exclusive brands to meet all your makeup, skincare and hair care needs.
During Guardian’s Beauty Around The World extravaganza held at the Museum of Ice Cream on Sep 12, the retailer launched the beauty brands that are available only at its stores nationwide and online.
Guardian already carries one of the widest ranges of beauty brands in Singapore, with more than 200 brands spanning different categories.
Guardian continues to be the ultimate beauty destination with four new and exclusive cosmetic brands, with Uklash from the UK, and Rom&nd, Dasique and Colorgram from Korea, among other brands joining its extensive list of classic and trendy makeup brands.
K-beauty lovers can also find beauty brands with the latest Korean formulations in their search for “glass” or “mochi” skin. Skincare solutions can be found in six new skincare brands such as Kahi, Lagom, One Day’s You, Pestlo, Thank You Farmer and Torriden from Korea. There is also fuss-free, ingredient-focused brand Q+A from the UK.
In the haircare category, look forward to good hair days with products that cater to every hair type. New Japanese brand HoneyQue promises to moisturise, repair and strengthen your tresses with a formulation that includes organic manuka honey to achieve healthy and luscious locks.
Now that you’ve achieved your beauty goals, you’ll need a new outfit to match your look. Enter Guardian’s first-ever beauty and fashion partnership with local women’s fashion label Ohvola to create the limited edition “Ohvola x Guardian Beauty Around The World” capsule collection consisting of six silhouettes inspired by beauty looks from around the world.
The six fashion pieces include a tailored blazer, cross-back top, pants, two dresses and an everyday romper dress. They can be mixed, matched and styled to create versatile looks.
Not sure what to buy? Here are our favourite products from five brands that have caught our eye.
Lagom’s philosophy is “beauty of simplicity”, which is why its products are formulated with proven, dermatologically-tested and patented ingredients to help maintain moisture balance and support skin health. We like the minimalistic skincare line that is focused on simple but effective formulations – perfect for our hectic modern and urban lifestyles.
2. uklash Eyelash Serum
The UK-based eyelash and eyebrow care brand boasts a serum that can grow lash length by 55 percent and volume by up to 78 percent in just 12 weeks of use. It’s even safe to use with lash extensions and if you are a contact lens wearer. Also check out the eyebrow serum that promises up to 120 percent more denser-looking brows.
3. Torriden Dive in Soothing Cream
We salute this K-beauty skincare brand for its vegan and cruelty-free products that’s both friendly to the environment and our skin. Its simple, back-to-basics formulations are said to be effective in treating various skin concerns and cater to sensitive skin.
4. Colorgram All-In-One Aegyo-Sal Eye Makeup
The products may be targeted at Gen Zs but we think they suit everyone – as long as you choose the right colours. Besides lipsticks, eyeshadows and blushes, there is the All-In-One Aegyo-Sal Eye Makeup to help highlight and contour that bit of “eye fat” for a more youthful look.
5. Kahi Wrinkle Bounce Multi Balm
Seen all over K-dramas and loved by the stars, the Kahi Wrinkle Bounce Multi Balm is finally here. This Multi Balm hydrates and increases skin elasticity, and reduces the appearance of wrinkles. It also functions as a lip balm and moisturiser that provides instant moisture boost and glow on-the-go.
