It’s no secret that the Great Singapore Sale officially sucks; but as brick-and-mortar retail slumps, the sales online just keep getting better. A month after the GSS “madness”, Amazon has announced the arrival of its highly anticipated annual shopping event, Prime Day—available to Singapore for the first time ever.
Happening on Jul 16, 12pm for 36 hours only, Prime Day will be available in Singapore exclusively to Prime members. You’ll get to shop great deals across homeware, office supplies, furniture, groceries and everyday essentials—just like the Prime members in Europe, US, UK, China, and Australia. Some fun brands to bookmark include Archipelago Beer, Rebecca Minkoff and Razer. Other benefits include free two-hour delivery on tens of thousands of items with Prime Now, and free international shipping on the rest of the 7 million items in the Amazon inventory; members get access to unlimited free shipping in seven to nine business days on orders over $60 via the Prime Now app.
The party’s already begun; starting now, Singapore members will get access to exclusive offers and deals every day leading up to Prime Day, plus 20 percent off of AmazonBasics items. Right now, Amazon Prime is available for $2.99 a month (down from its usual $8.99 per month); but you’re free to start a 30-day free trial any time. Considering Prime Day is exactly a week away, no time like the present.
