Looking for some new kicks? Consider heading down to the new Converse flagship store at Jewel Changi Airport to find a pair that tickles your fancy.
Inspired by the creative, skate and basketball communities, the new locale at the lifestyle destination hopes to represent youth collectives while advocating sustainability.
Here, shoppers can look forward to the best of Converse’s offerings across footwear, apparel and accessories, including the unisex Shapes Collection, which launches this July. Made from recycled and organic cotton, this seasonal line of genderless apparel pays homage to the inclusive nature of the Chuck Taylor, encapsulating Converse’s commitment to breaking barriers for social change.
The shop also features customisation services. At the counter near the cash register, purchases of Converse’s cloth patches will entitle customers to free customisation services on shoes bought in-store too.
But when you’re all done shopping, remember to check out murals dedicated to sustainable development and social movements as three large murals are found within the airport mall. There’s One Step Is All It Takes, designed by budding artists as well as Bloom that incorporates upcycled shoes into the artwork near the customisation booth.
Then, don’t forgot to head over to Let Equality Bloom, an art piece that adorns a wall beside unit #02-224/225 of Jewel Changi Airport. Created by local artist Tan Zi Xi aka MessyMsxi, the intricately designed mural aims to provoke thought and foster conversations on gender equality. To interact with the artwork, simply scan the QR code available near the mural and begin using the Converse City Forest Instagram Filter.
