It’s a double whammy for Singapore’s retail scene this week. First, we have vintage boutique Granny’s Day Out wrapping up its business after more than a decade, and now, furniture store CB2 has announced its impending closure on May 14.
The Crate & Barrel sister outlet, which offers funky and design-focused furniture and accessories, is holding a store-wide clearance sale with discounts of up to 75 percent from Apr 15, and customers can expect new stock coming in every two days. For those devastated by the news, it’s apparently not the end of the road: according to executive director Yung Ong, the store may reopen at a more suitable location.
