It’s official: Dempsey Hill is having yet another renaissance. Hot on the heels of openings like Open Farm Community and Loewen by Dempsey, prepare yourselves for a new lifestyle enclave at Blocks 17 and 18 on Dempsey Road.
Managed by the cool people at COMO Lifestyle, blocks 17 and 18 will be home to exciting new arrivals like a Jean-Georges Vongerichten restaurant and a local outpost of London’s style haven Dover Street Market (by Comme des Garcons’ enfant terrible Rei Kawakubo). Dempsey is an unusually wholesome choice for the Dover Street Market people, but we have high hopes nonetheless for a shop that has bad boys Maison Margiela, Christopher Kane, Sacai and Rick Owens on its roster.
Rounding up the list of newcomers at this Dempsey enclave are new F&B outlets Peranakan restaurant Candlenut and an up-and-coming concept by COMO Cuisine.
No word on when they are set to launch yet, but we’ll keep you posted on more developments.
