Furniture store Fred Lives Here opens this week at 108 Emerald Hill Road but visits are by appointment only.
According to imaginative owner Angie, Fred is a “delightful little chap” who sources high-quality reproductions of modern-classic interior design items and sells them. He (or she) also partners with cool creative types to create one-of-a-kind usable art. The result? An inspiring mishmash of original designer pieces such as Ibride’s Mobilier de Compagnie animal collection, repro’d mod classics like Arne Jacobsen’s Egg Chair and truly out there artistic collaborations, with the promise of more to come.
