Local designers are really stepping up their game, with the recent addition of two new labels to the scene. Sven Tan, who previously helmed alldressedup, recently launched his new womenswear label In Good Company at Front Row (#02-09 Raffles Hotel Arcade, 328 North Bridge Rd., 6224-5501, www.frontrowsingapore.com). The very versatile and wearable collection features well-made classics like one-piece dresses in earthy palettes and neutral tones, and can be easily paired with any accessories. Kudos to the designer whose latest collection is so effortlessly chic; they’re pretty affordable too, with prices from $89 for tops and shorts.
Young designer Lionel Low, who’s behind local brand Lion Earl, also recently launched new line Lionelow with multi-label boutique MYthology (88 Club St., 6223-5570, www.my-thology.com). The pieces are bold, featuring overall structured silhouettes embellished with pearl and metallic elements with standouts including an oversized peplum waistcoat inspired by the ’50s. $199 upwards.
