Love, Bonito is heading to the heartlands for its second physical store here

At a time when many brick-and-mortar retail stores are languishing, beloved local online fashion brand Love, Bonito has decided that going offline is the right move. Slightly over a year since the opening of their first physical store in Singapore, they are now all set to open their second one, cementing their direction of real-world expansion.

While their online shop already has legions of female fans constantly snapping up their collections, nothing beats having an in-store experience apparently, with long queues constantly forming outside their 313@Somerset flagship during lunch hours. Hopefully alleviating some of that is their upcoming new store at Jem, opening on the weekend of Dec 8-9. Yes, it’s that soon.

We’re unsure what the look and feel will be just yet, but we do know about all the bells and whistles. The new 3,555 square feet space may be a tad smaller than the Orchard one, but will be packing in plenty of touch points (like their in-house stylists) that makes shopping at a Love, Bonito store so pleasing.

The modular fitting rooms are back, this time made even better thanks to the use of foldable mirrors as dividers, meaning they double up as side mirrors. While we don’t know yet whether things like the Pink Room and the Flower Wall will be reappearing (we think not, as they should be unique to the flagship), the Jem store will still feature distinct zones separated by collections. One of the zones will be a new communal section that serves a dual function – as a resting area and as a place to showcase how their different collections are conceptualised.

Perhaps one of the best things happening during the launch weekend is the exclusive access to Love, Bonito’s 2019 CNY collection, available first at their Jem store. And feel free to shop ladies, as the first 100 who spend a minimum of $60 get to receive a goodie bag filled with swag from Love, Bonito and their partner brands.

Love, Bonito’s opening weekend at Jem takes place Dec 8-9. More info here.
