If you’d been hoping, like us, that Crate and Barrel were bringing more of their stylish furniture (household wares and kitchen items are its stronghold after all), you’ll find your answer in CB2, its sister store that carries an entirely different collection.
Located at Peranakan Place, the 6,000 square-foot store brims with cool furniture and home accessories (find even limited edition wall art, lighting, frames, clocks and bath wares) to suit the urban dweller. What’s great about its goods: many are scaled to fit small spaces with a look that leans towards the minimal and industrial with a hint of fun and youthfulness. The store interiors are built along the same aesthetic, too, with concrete floors and exposed steel beams.
Prices aren’t terribly high either for its quality, designer-looking pieces like the bright orange file cabinent ($299), the cage pendant brass light ($259.95) and the pony sprout chair ($239). You’ll be hardpressed to exit the store empty-handed.
