We called it last year: NikeLab has officially landed in Singapore. Just months after the sportswear giant announced the arrival of Nike.com in Singapore, its design-centric line NikeLab is joining the empire, a press statement released today.
The first in Southeast Asia, the space offers a curated collection of limited edition Nike shoes—most of which are exclusive collaborations with esteemed designers. The coveted line is located within high-fashion, multi-brand retailer Dover Street Market Singapore (another highly anticipated arrival), which opens its doors to the public tomorrow at Dempsey Hill.
While NikeLab has seen select capsule collections from partners like Commes des Garcons, Acronym and UNDERCOVER in the past, the release to watch here is NikeLab x Pigalle’s newest capsule collection. It’s ‘90s basketball-meets-Parisian street style in this striking blue-and-pink-hued collab that’s sure to sell out quick. Also on display, but only available for purchase tomorrow, are the NikeCraft Mars Yard 2.0 by Tom Sachs and the CLOT x Nike Air VaporMax, two of NikeLab’s latest creative redesigns of iconic silhouettes.
If you’re a die-hard sneakerhead hoping to get first dibs, be prepared to battle crowds—word is that fans of both Dover Street Market and Nike have been queuing outside the brand new space in Dempsey since 4pm yesterday. Heads up: The selection at NikeLab is nowhere near as wide as the one in Ginza, but it’s a start.
NikeLab is located within Dover Street Market Singapore at 18 Dempsey Road, and will be open to the public tomorrow (Jul 29), operating daily from 11am-8pm.
