From package-free solid shampoos to household cleaning liquids and more

It’s getting easier to be environmentally conscious these days, thanks to a myriad of brands and companies playing their part in offering consumers eco-friendly products. Among them is clean beauty label Oasis:skin, which has opened its second outlet at the friendly neighbourhood of Joo Chiat.

Considered a provision shop by its co-founders, the new Oasis:skin retail space is meant to be a convenient location for nearby residents to get their daily essentials while forging friendships with other customers.

The brick-and-mortar store homes a wide variety of freshly made refillable vegan products, all locally crafted in their Beauty Kitchen. From package-free solid shampoos and conditioners to soap flakes and even household liquids, the store is completely decked out with goodies that will help shoppers get started on their sustainability journey.

All you’ve got to do is bring along plenty of empty bottles and bags to store them.

The chic provision shop also features a DIY corner, a station that allows customers to customise products based on their preferences. For instance, shoppers can personalise their own body washes with the various scent selections.

Truly living and breathing sustainability, the skincare store is even furnished with upcycled furniture such as repurposed cable drums from bespoke furniture company Triple Eyelid.

In fact, the collective is working on rolling out a zero-carbon bike delivery service to provide customers products directly to their doorstep.

Finally, when safe distancing measures ease, look forward to all the community events the shop will host—from hands-on workshops to sustainability-focused discussions.
