It’s been 11 years since Sephora opened its first store in Singapore and Southeast Asia at Takashimaya S.C.. Now, after a two-month revamp, the region’s founding outpost has unveiled a refreshed store, offering all the things we love about the brand, plus many new things that elevates the shopping experience further.
You’ll find Sephora’s first Fragrance Discovery Bar there, an in-store section dedicated to finding your personal scent. Meanwhile, brands like Jo Malone London, Aerin, Miller Harris and Loewe will be exclusively available at Sephora Takashimaya, while product lines from Drunk Elephant, Pat McGrath, Guerlain and SK-II have also made their way there.
There’s a greater emphasis on services too. A bigger six-seater beauty studio now resides in-store, where brands can conduct workshops and demos. In July, Fenty Beauty, Benefit Cosmetics and more already have sessions lined up, with more events exclusively offered to Sephora Gold and Black Beauty Pass members.
Speaking of membership privileges, Gold tier members can expect a lot more from the revamped store. You get small things like free engraving services with any purchase of lip or fragrance products, and exclusive items at their rewards boutique. But it’s the concierge service that really sets it apart.
Simply book online and a personal beauty shopper will tend to you at your appointment time. This 60-min sesh starts with a welcome drink, soothing hand towels and hand massage treatment, followed by free hair and makeup touch-ups, and even an analysis on your skin health. Then go on a guided shopping spree of the store, before skipping the queue at the express Gold members-only check-out. Someone can even carry your shopping bags for you to the mall carpark or entrance driveway, if you wish.
It is a good time to get Gold tier membership ($1,500 annual spend requirement) with the store’s reopening, since purchases there get you further benefits. A $300 spend nets you a Sephora Beauty Box packed with eight travel-sized and deluxe products, while a $500 spend gets you a Sephora Mini Beauty Fridge with five assorted duluxes. Get ‘em while they’re still available.
