So Google are collaborating with local e-tailers to launch The Great Online Shopping Festival (lovingly known as GOSF), and touting it as Singapore’s answer to Black Friday… or technically, Cyber Monday.
From midnight on Feb 2, the shopping festival will unleash 72 hours of deals from over 60 brands online. This means discounts on beauty, fashion and tech products, as well as travel deals from brands like Courts, Zalora, Agoda, Luxola, MyVillage and AirBnB.
There are some intriguing options: up to 90 percent off electronics from shops like Courts, 80 percent off fashion brands like Zalora, 70 percent off beauty products and 75 percent off travel deals from sites like Agoda. Others are significantly less exciting, with a mere 10 percent off from brands like Under Armour and five percent from Lazada.
Still, GOSF has managed to rope in some cool brands like Accor, Dear Laura, Adidas, Atlas Sound & Vision, ewinegallery.com, Chope, Headline Seoul and even Quincy Hotel and Uniqlo. Plus, the first 2,000 registered shoppers to spend $168 with their DBS/POSB cards get an additional 15 percent rebate or $100 off.
