Local confectionary brand Old Seng Choong opens its flagship store in Clarke Quay Central—marking its first brick-and-mortar venture since the online brand’s launch in 2016. The store’s focus is on heritage, hence the retro look imbibed in the thoughtfully designed space of mosaic tiles, marble, and Chinese lattice work. An on-site kacang puteh station sells the nostalgic treat at $4 a cone, to customers with the munchies, too.
In-store, choose from a range of heritage-inspired cookies flavored with uniquely Singaporean tastes like Bak Kut Teh and Laksa. The star offering at the physical store, the cookies come in beautifully packaged cans that retail from $18.90-$19.90. For more wizened fans, Old Seng Choong’s signature butter cakes, along with goodies like carrot cake and pineapple tarts are also available.
