The buzz: Moda Pacifica, the company who brought Brazilian flip-flops Havaianas to Singapore, expands its portfolio to include more casual-chic labels—all of which are housed in its first multi-label concept store at ION Orchard.
The vibe: Splashy, fun and madly colorful, like a fashion-focused candy store. As if the kaleidoscope of rainbow hues from the products isn’t enough, edgy geometric patterns and more bright colors add to the happy, carefree atmosphere, for a weekend feel.
The goods: Havaianas’ standalone store at the mall has shuttered, but the summery, sand-appropriate footwear ($32.90 upwards) are now consolidated in the new boutique, alongside French names like lifestyle label Bensimon ($59.90 upwards), and all-terrain shoe specialist Praiaz ($69.90 upwards). The store also carries its own in-house collections, including ball et flats from Allegrina ($69.90 upwards), basics from Thread 365 ($29.90), and retro-inspired hip shades from Hoola ($64.90 upwards).
Why you’ll be back: Because everyone needs some trusty flip -flops, sensible kicks for the weekend, cheap-and-chic sunnies and well-made basics.
