The buzz: Cult British organic skincare brand Neal’s Yard Remedies has opened its first Singapore store at Millenia Walk.
The vibe: A large store on level 1 decorated in a neutral white and blue color scheme with the signature Neal’s Yard Remedies blue bottles prominently displayed throughout. Small bowls of herbs and essential oils placed around the store and an aromatherapy blending bar give some life and color to what could otherwise be a somewhat clinical space. There’s also an on-site therapy room tucked away behind the storefront that offers massages, aromatherapy services and facials (starting from $78).
The goods: Neal’s Yard Remedies focuses on natural and organic products that have minimal impact on the environment (and are tested on willing volunteers instead of animals of course). The new store stocks a range of face, bath, body and aromatherapy products, including the popular Wild Rose Beauty Balm ($88, a face product that triples as an exfoliator, mask and moisturizer) and the anti-ageing Frankincense range (which includes a cleanser, hydrating cream and serum, from $56). There are also essential oils, health supplements and organic teas sold on site.
Why you’ll be back: For a wide range of products easily categorized by skin concern (dry, oily, anti-ageing etc.), knowledgeable staff and skincare that smells seriously good.
