The buzz: Located near the coach bay area of Marina Bay Sands Hotel is this swanky new boutique nail, facial and foot spa. Split between two adjacent units, one offers up manicures and pedicures while the other caters to facials and reflexology.
The vibe: Black walls, white floors, pretty chandeliers and plush padded chairs. The space is inviting, super chic and elegant. Plus, it’s also intimate (there are only three manicure and three pedicure stations). Oh there are also two private rooms, both with comfy reclinable leather chairs. Tip: You can request to have your treatment done and that room and trust us, it’s a wise move; especially if you’re only getting a manicure. You see, the manicure area is right by the entrance (and offers the least amount of privacy) as the spa doesn’t come with a front door so it doesn’t exactly scream zen, what with a constant stream of shoppers zipping by.
The goods: For your nails, you can pick from popular brands like Gellyfit and Orly; whose basecoat is supposed to strengthen weak nails. While the range of colors on offer was pretty impressive, it’s a shame that the neon orange we picked started chipping after just two days. Manicures start at $25, facials at $98 and reflexology at $22. A must-try is the 30-minute custom reflexology; we thoroughly enjoyed our arm massage, thanks to our skillful therapist. Other treatments on offer include hand masks (from $12), Anti-dark spot hand treatment ($55 for 40 minutes) and a Swiss Alpine herb foot treatment ($75 for 45 minutes).
Why you’ll be back: It’s a nice space and we definitely left feeling rejuvenated after our 30-minute arm massage. Shame on the nail color though; it was a really pretty color.
