The buzz: The hotel spa has undergone a small yet sassy overhaul.The vibe: This earthy and elegant alcove (yes, it’s that small) is a winner. On entering, you’re greeted by a pleasant retail space selling Mandarin Oriental’s signature product line, developed specially for the group by Aromatherapy Associates. Retail therapy before body therapy? Brilliant. Their gorgeous new poolside scores points too—we can totally imagine Aphrodite herself lounging on this one.The goods: There are six treatment rooms, including two couples’ suites, a nail spa, a serene tea lounge and one-to-one consultation areas. We love the vitality pool in one of the couples’ suites—the hot rush of the Jacuzzi, raised blue mosaic tub and cave-like setting make us just want to take the day off and zone out in here.Why you’ll be back: Sometimes, it’s the small things that pack the most punch.
