The buzz: More Parisian flavors are coming our way with the opening of designer Jean Touitou’s first A.P.C. flagship store here, joining the ranks of other A.P.C. stores worldwide at cities like Paris, London, New York, Tokyo, Berlin, Stockholm and Los Angeles. After five years of stocking A.P.C. in haute-shop Front Row, it’s high time that Singapore get its own.

The vibe: Like its best selling New Standard Jeans, which has become the uniform of many a hipster from Ann Siang Hill to East Village, understated cool is the name of the game at this store. Decked out in birch wood cladding with clean lines, chief A.P.C collaborator, French architect Laurent Deroo, did a great job translating the label’s minimalist aesthetic into three dimensions. Nestled in the period architecture of Raffles Hotel, the store perfectly complements the label’s Euro vibe, and is set to be the hangout of many local fashionistas hungry for its wardrobe essentials.

The goods: The store will carry the full range of A.P.C. apparel and accessories for men and women, as well as the best-selling Raw Denim range. The new Petit Standard Stretch will also debut with the store’s opening. New A.P.C. product lines that were previously unavailable will also be stocked, including shoes and the highly anticipated Raw Denim Black. Prices range from $295 for a pair of jeans, and from $105 for T-shirts and tops, to $260 for dresses.

Why you’ll be back: Throw on its signature stripes, raw denim jeans, a flat hat, oxfords and you’re set to be on The Sartorialist or walk down Haji Lane with your new chic Parisian attitude.
