The buzz: Brit label Fred Perry has brought back its Laurel Wreath Collection Shop to Mandarin Gallery (after its exit from Ann Siang Road) stocking its namesake premium line plus coveted pieces from collaborative projects.
The vibe: The cool folks at Asylum gave this boutique a raw, industrial look—the done-to-death combo of concrete floors, rough-hewn wood, exposed ceiling and black steel frames—but managed to add heaps of Fred Perry character by styling the space with a smorgasbord of vinyls decked on the walls like a hip indie record store.
The goods: Currently on the racks are the Autumn/Winter 2013 Laurel Wreath collections (the Brit brand’s premium and signature range, not to be confused with its regular Authentic line), including apparels, accessories and shoes, for both men ($159 upwards) and women ($109 upwards). But we’re putting our money on the cult-status collaborative pieces with fellow Brit designer Christopher Raeburn and Raf Simons ($239 upwards).
Why you’ll be back: Everything here is exclusive to the store, which means you won’t find them stocked in the other two FP outlets at ION Orchard and Cineleisure.
