Michael Kors

The buzz: The first standalone boutique in Southeast Asia by the famous New York women’s wear designer and judge on Emmy-nominated reality TV show Project Runway.

The vibe: Clean and inviting, evoking the overall vibe of the store’s home, the newly minted Scotts Square. And with ample lounging space for its mostly tai tai crowd.

The goods: Kors visited personally last month to launch his latest line, the outstanding Resorts collection. Highlights include a sexy black strap bodysuit and a cashmere neon-colored zebra-print pullover, plus other standouts like tailored mini suits and utilitarian-inspired accessories. Prices from $139.90 for a wristband and from $489.90 for a blouse.

Why we’ll be back: To steal a march on everyone else. After all, it’s Michael Kors.
