The buzz: The mammoth, $50 million, 12,000 sq. meter home furnishing specialist Space opens at the Bras Basah art precinct, set inside three distinct yet conjoined blocks.
The vibe and goods: Very luxurious and super organized. The first building on the Space plaza is an immaculate white bungalow, The Villa, where wardrobe systems and kitchen displays can be found. The contemporary Glass Block building, which stands at the center of the multiplex (also its main space), is a five-story unit where lights and fixtures from world famous brands Moooi, B&B Italia, Flexform, Fritz Hansen and Louis Poulsen are showcased. The Heritage House area is a 2,100 sq. meter space space, which specializes in sofas and bedding sets by Flex form Mood and Maxalto, among many others.
Why we’ll be back: The place is truly gorgeous, especially the Heritage House area where natural skylight streams through the wooden rafters. Plus, there’s so much to buy.
