The buzz: The luxe resort- and sportswear-inspired womenswear label’s first standalone boutique in Southeast Asia is located at a prime spot in Wisma Atria facing Orchard Road. The vibe: The 2,500 sq. ft. space evokes a residential home, but a very luxurious and artistic one at that. Burch draws inspiration from artist Donald Judd for the store’s interior, which is peppered with cube-like fixtures, orange lacquered square tables and linear brass shelves propped against clean white walls, with light oak-colored floors creating a homely vibe. The second floor is all modern chic, with LED screens flashing stylish images from Burch’s latest Autumn/Winter collection. The goods: A heady mix of ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes, swimwear, small leather goods, jewelry, eyewear and accessories, all boasting the brand’s signature graphic prints and bold, pop-inspired colors. Although its ready-to-wear collection is the main highlight ($160 upwards), the accessories and shoes are equally eye-catching, including blue leather ballet flats with a fox motif ($480), a pine-green satchel ($930), and a tablet slip case with wild, floral prints in orange ($230).Why you’ll be back: Certainly more reasonably priced than your average luxury brand, with fine service and a diverse, standout collection. Plus, you won’t miss it when you go down Orchard Road.
