Yves Saint Laurent Beauté

The buzz: After three years of absence, the French luxury label’s skincare and makeup lines finally make a comeback with its first standalone flagship boutique in Southeast Asia at ION Orchard.
The vibe: Sexy and opulent, with glossy, reflective surfaces dominating the store’s interiors. Decked out in YSL’s signature color scheme of black, gold and red, the 355 sq. ft. space feels a little tight, but the vast range of luxuriously designed products will compensate for that.
The goods: As if the extensive collection of skincare, makeup and fragrances isn’t enough to spoil you silly, what’s offered is also specially formulated for Asian skin, like the Forever Youth Liberator series ($79 upwards) which is less thick than the European version. Highlights include the best-selling Touche Éclat (one is sold every 10 seconds worldwide; $55), Rouge Pur Couture Vernis à Lèvres for lips ($43) and Le Teint Touche Éclat foundation ($75).
Why you’ll be back: Every single product here promises to make you look and feel like a million bucks. The store also provides one-on-one makeup and skincare consultation services with YSL-trained makeup artists (by appointment only).
