Hurl hatchets, play paintball, go mini golfing and more

Singaporeans may claim that there isn’t much to be done on our little red dot, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. From mini golf courses to paintball parks and more, below are five games and recreation centres for exciting group activities with the crew.

Axe Factor

Whether you’re feeling frustrated or hoping to practice your aiming skills, the Axe Factor is a great place to be. Apart from boasting 10 axe throwing lanes, the spacious venue at The Grandstand on Turf Club Road is also equipped with virtual reality game sets as well as karaoke machines. If it's your first time hurling hatchets, fret not. Instructors are all around the experience centre to assist and guide beginners wherever necessary. Slots do go fast, so secure your spots and make a booking on their website before making your way over.

The Fragment Room

If you'd like to go full on Hulk mode and smash everything in sight, then release your anger at Singapore’s first rage room, The Fragment Room. The rules are simple: dress in comfortable clothes, then suit up in the protective jumpsuit given and go ham on the appliances available for wrecking. It’s a safe space for some anger therapy, so just gather the gang and start venting.

Holey Moley Golf Club

With a cocktail in hand, navigate a multi-sensory labyrinth of unique holes across mini golf course and bar Holey Moley Golf Club. A fan of hit television series Game of Thrones? Then get on the 9 Iron Throne and snap pictures while you putt in the arena. Then, put your best foot forward at the Yellow Brick Green inspired by The Wizard of Oz or The Simpsons family home, 742 Evergreen Terrace. Expect to be treated to a whole day of fun.

Red Dynasty Paintball Park

Leap across fields of green and dart around obstacles as you wipe out your opponents with paint at Red Dynasty Paintball Park in Bukit Timah. Aside from paintball, the game centre also offers organised group activities including speedball, laser tag, archery tag and bubble soccer. Pre-bookings are compulsory and can be made here; don’t forget to don a mask at all times and abide by safe distancing measures when visiting.

Snow City

At Singapore’s first permanent indoor snow centre, zones filled with interactive Arctic exhibits, life-sized snow sculptures and a 60m sliding snow slope await. The family-friendly attraction located within the Science Centre Singapore now sports a Winter Shooting Arena too, which allows you to embark on a target shooting experience in a closed sub-zero environment. Open to both walk-ins and bookings, simply round up teams of four to defend your markers while testing your precision.
