Get ready to feast on authentic Thai when Chang Sensory Trails returns this month

Gather round, lovers of Thai cuisine, and take a break from Golden Mile Complex. If you remember your blissful time spent at Chang Sensory Trails last year, the event organized by Thailand’s leading beer brand Chang is hitting the island again—with its third edition, after stops in London (May) and Los Angeles (Jun) earlier this year. Singapore’s the designated last stop; the two-day event will land on our shores Aug 31Sep 1 at The Lawn at Marina Bay.

Returning with a highlight on authentic Thai flavors, this year’s event will fully embody the Thai philosophy of ‘Lamiat’ that emphasizes attention to detail and looking beyond the ordinary. In food, tha translates to an intricate mix of different herbs, spices and fresh ingredients in the dishes.

Eight locally based Thai restaurants will take center stage to whip up your favorites. The Thai chefs from Aroy Dee, Baan Ying, Bangkok Jam, Gin Khao, Little Elephant, Long Chim, Tamarind Hill and Un-Yang-Kor-Dai will be creating three signatures dishes each, inspired by home recipes of their childhood. None of that overly sweetened foodcourt-Thai nonsense here.

Like last year, the event will include live music shows—from O.K READY! (Aug 31) and cover band 53A (Sep 1), fronted by lead vocalist Sara Wee. Come hungry, and come early.

Chang Sensory Trails 2018 happens Aug 31Sep 1, 4-10pm, at The Lawn at Marina Bay. Entry is free and more information is available here
