Taiwan’s leading tea chain TenRen’s Tea is opening its first outlet here

It seems like Singapore’s love for bubble tea ain’t stopping anytime soon. While there’s always the wildly popular Gong Cha and KOI to rely on, Taiwan’s TenRen’s Tea, one of the oldest brands there is now on its way to Singapore. The very first outlet will be open on Jul 28 in Chinatown Point.

Compared to other bubble teas you’ve tried before, TenRen will likely have a bolder tea taste. Known for making their beverages in traditional brew using fresh tea leaves, the drink is full of the usual fragrance you’ll find in a pot of freshly-brewed tea. And instead of simply adding sugar to sweeten the tea, TenRen cooks the accompanying pearls using a mixture of honey, thus making the tea taste sweeter yet healthier thanks to a lower sugar content.

Their signature oolong tea is definitely a must-try, while traditional tea (as in tea not in a bubble tea format) is also served. And unlike other bubble tea shops, snacks to go with your tea are sold here too, so you can have a proper sit-down while snacking and sipping on tea.

For the first two days of opening, TenRen is offering a series of promos including a buy-one-get-one-free deal or a goody bag. They currently have plans to open 30 outlets across Singapore in the next three years.

TenRen’s Tea is located at #01-07, 133 New Bridge Road, and will open on Jul 28 at 11am. More information on their Facebook page.
