Nihiwatu

The retreat has 21-villas and a two-and-a-half-kilometer (1.6 mile) stretch of beach with cliffs at each end. The place is also a great surfing destination, with a carefully manage beach, which only accommodates ten surfers at a time. An eco-friendly getaway, it is powered by bio-fuel produced from coconuts at its on-premise bio-diesel factory. In addition, the establishment supports charitable trust, The Sumba Foundation, which benefits 20,000 islanders and provides a clean water supply to villages as well as dealing with malnutrition and educational needs on the island. Hotel guests contribute 90% of the foundation’s donations to the local community.
