Disney, Marvel and Pixar fans in Singapore, it’s time to let out your inner child. The Disney Adventure cruise ship will set sail from the Marina Bay Cruise Centre in 2025, kicking off a collaboration with the Singapore Tourism Board that will last at least five years.
The cruise line will offer three- and four-night voyages for up to 6,700 passengers at a go, bringing them from the Disney Cruise Line’s first homeport in Asia out to sea for a magical experience fuelled by the company’s iconic stories.
There will be seven themed areas spread across the ship, each delivering a concentrated dose of that classic Disney magic with popular characters, immersive settings and interactive experiences for all ages.
The adventure begins at the root of it all with the Disney Imagination Garden, which celebrates 100 years of heartwarming Disney tales within an open-air performance venue and gathering space.
It also serves a gateway for guests to explore the rest of the imaginative worlds on offer. These include Marvel Landing, offering larger-than-life attractions and experiences befitting of the superheroes of The Avengers; Toy Story Place, where the eponymous Pixar movie is brought to life with themed food venues and water play areas; as well as the Town Square, which commemorates Disney’s roster of royals – think Tangled, Cinderella, Frozen and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs – with a host of shops, cafes and entertainment venues.
That’s not all. Guests will also be able to enjoy Disney Discovery Reef, a dining destination that dives deep into the denizens of nautical adventures like The Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo and Luca, before heading to San Fransokyo Street, a bustling family entertainment area straight out of Big Hero 6 with an arcade, street market and cinema to boot.
Finally, they can find respite at Wayfinder Bay, a casual poolside retreat and open-air oasis that hearkens to the freedom of Moana.
At the end of a long day of raucous Disney-themed revelry, guests will be able to retire to sumptuously appointed staterooms dressed to the nines with Disney-style touches (and of course, all the creature comforts you’d expect).
This level of immersion will be retained in all other experiences too, ranging from daily meals – where a selection of global cuisines will all be given a whimsical touch of Disney magic and served alongside songs, mealtime stories and more – to life aboard the ship, where spontaneous character encounters, meet-and-greets and stage shows will be a daily occurrence.
