Airbnb sets up Singapore office

Rumor has it that vacation rental website Airbnb has a new office in Singapore and according to a CNET Asia story, it’s on Neil Road.

It wouldn’t come as a surprise. As we predicted in our vacation rental story back in June, social travel is growing and one of the biggest players in the industry would want in on the action.

Competition for Airbnb in Singapore includes Singapore-based vacation rental service Roomorama as well as German company 9Flats (which launched here last year).

We also heard from The Next Web that Airbnb—which can get up to 60,000 bookings a day—is not stopping there: they plan to expand to Thailand and Indonesia.
