Alila Bali to introduce architectural tours

Forget lying on a beach in Bali (though we can see the appeal in that what with the gorgeous sunsets, hot bods, great surf and all) and opt for something thoroughly cultural. Next time you head for this paradise island, why not combine luxury with architectural tours that’ll take your breath away. Alila Hotels and Resorts is offering a six-day architectural tour itinerary that features stays at the luxurious Alilia Manggis and Alila Ubud and visits to ancient ruins, temples, palaces and local villages. Packages (depending on type of room—superior, deluxe, suites) range from US$1475 ($1,900) to US$2,765 ($3,561). Prices are subject to 21 percent service and tax charges. The offer includes a Balinese massage at Alila Ubud, a traditional Balinese meal for two at Alila Manggis, transport, entrance fees and donations at places of architectural interest and, of course, a knowledge tour guide. Tours run at certain periods through Sep 2011. For more information and to book, log on to www.alilahotels.com.
