This morning, much-loved British psychedelic rockers Temples announced on their Facebook page that they will perform in Bangkok on Feb 20 at GMM Live House as part of the Hostess Club Bangkok festival. The move was echoed by Thurston Moore, of legendary rockers Sonic Youth, who made a similar announcement. Other confirmed acts include Scottish indie band Belle and Sebastian, Canadian musician Caribou (aka Dan Snaith) and indie-pop project Tune-Yards.
This live music series that’s originally from Japan had its successful inaugural show here at the Fort Canning last Feb and then followed up with two disappointing cancellations in Jun and Nov. Now, they look all set for their Bangkok debut which will be happening Feb 19-20.
We hear that tickets will go on sale via Thaiticketmajor from Jan 30 and will start at THB1,000 ($40.60) for a day pass and THB1,800 ($73) for a two-day pass. Also set to make an appearance in Bangkok is American singer-songwriter, How to Dress Well (Feb 17).
