Carlsberg Sends Five “Heroes” to Clean Mt Everest

Carlsberg has taken their step up and do the right thing mission to another level with a noble and giant undertaking to “clean up” Mt Everest. A joint initiative with Gorkha Brewery in Nepal, this civic mission has the express purpose of preserving the rich biological diversity of Nepal’s Sagarmatha National Park – which has suffered large amounts of rubbish due to the increased visitor ship over the years.
Carlsberg Singapore will be sending up five heroes to take part in the first phase of this momentous enterprise, which will see other members from the region as well as Roy Bagattini, Senior Vice President of Carlsberg, making up the 11 member expedition setting out on today.
The five secret heroes’ identities were revealed with much fanfare on last week at Carlsberg’s 1847 Bar located at the Heeren Singapore. They include 21 year old blogger cum bodybuilder Lai Wee Kiat, who operated popular fitness and lifestyle blog Fabodylous.com; Kuek Ziyi, an inline skating champion instructor who was also on FHM’s top 100 sexiest women list. Also in the group are two staff members from Carlsberg Singapore – June Lee and Samuel Chen; as well as Deva Vellu, a Public Relations professional from Communications DNA.
