While we’re as patriotic as the next Singaporean, Aug 9 is still a public holiday opportunity not to be missed, especially given the potential for an easy four-day weekend getaway. We’re already eyeing plans for a trip to check out Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival 2018, taking place Aug 10-12 at Songdo Moonlight Festival Park (aka Pentaport Park) that’s located super close to Incheon International Airport.
This 13th edition of one of South Korea’s largest annual summer music festivals sees headliners like industrial rock legends Nine Inch Nails, shoegaze pioneers My Bloody Valentine and local alt-rock heroes Jaurim taking the main stage. We’re also looking forward to performances by Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park, Hoobastank and lesser-known South Korean indie band Hyukoh who were just in Singapore at the end of last year (and we can’t get enough of them).
Over the three festival days, three different stages will concurrently see the 50 over local and international acts belt out their best in the open-air park grounds (where you can camp, too), so there’s always something for everyone and never too much time for a breather—just the way we like it.
One-day festival passes to three-day passes range from 80,000 won (S$96) to 200,000 won (S$240). Purchase tickets and full line-up here.
