Cathay Pacific in-flight food gets Michelin-starred

In-flight food isn’t always bad, and Cathay Pacific has just the menu to change your mind. The Hong Kong airline has partnered with Michelin-starred restaurant Tosca (from The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong) to create special meals for first and business-class passengers through July 31.

Created by Tosca’s chef Pino Lavarra, the gourmet menu featuring classic Italian fare with a contemporary twist. Expect chi dishes like beef seared carpaccio with parmesan crisp, buffalo salami with frilled focaccia and tiramisu (but of course).

Great news for us—these delish (or so we hope—high altitudes really kill taste buds) meals will be served on board the airline’s Hong Kong-Singapore route. Other lucky routes include those from Hong Kong to major cities in Europe, The U.S. and Russia.

Is airplane food really all that terrible? We tell you which budget airline has the best meals here.
