Head down to the airport and check in early if you’re travelling any time from now till Oct 31, as DFS is throwing a cocktail festival (read: free drinks) in celebration of all-things mixology.
It’s the second time a Cocktail Festival is being held, since its first edition in 2016. The return of the festival is nice, seeing as this might just be the last one before DFS bids us farewell next year. Expect them to be pulling out all the stops with activations across all four Changi Airport terminals, where you get to taste, mix and enjoy your own concoctions.
There will be new product launches too, including ones exclusive to Singapore, which you can feel free to buy at duty-free rates. We’re especially eyeing the Sipsmith Raffles 1915 Gin ($85), a Malaysian Peninsula-inspired spirit that’s only available at DFS stores at Changi Airport. If your purchases reach a minimum of $150, a complimentary iridescent bar kit comprising a shaker, jigger and spoon is yours to collect.
For more fun, check out a bartender battle happening at the Terminal 3 departure bars 6-9pm on Sep 13 and 27, as well as on Oct 11 and 25, where you get to cast your votes and decide who wins the cocktail challenge. Whoever wins, free tipples await.
